AWD’s Directing the Actor Lab, led by AWD founder and USC professor Jennifer Warren, is a selective program designed to strengthen directors’ collaboration with actors through focused scene study, rehearsal techniques, and actionable direction.
​
During the program, each director selects a scene from an established screenplay, then casts actors, and presents a live rehearsal for feedback. The work is then produced for a final showcase presented to industry guests.
